Technical Sales Engineer

The Commercial Sales department is the beating heart of this commercial strategy. The Commercial Sales Managers (CSMs) are each responsible for one or more focus categories, called Excellence Centres, including the brands represented in these categories. As the ‘spider in the web’, they are the first commercial point of contact towards the brand, provide the connection towards the customers who are served on a daily basis and ensure proper coordination towards all internal departments involved in the further development of the relationship with the brand. Specialisation, focus and compliance with the jointly established growth objectives are central to this philosophy.

Within the Commercial Sales team we are looking for a Technical sales engineer, you will be the specialist providing technical expertise to support the architecture, installation and planning of Pro AV/UCC solutions. Your responsibilities include conducting customer-facing sessions to determine the technical specifications, drawings and fills to provide the most appropriate proposition to the customer. You will work together with the Commercial Sales Managers to provide the best possible service to our customers. 

Key responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical expertise to support the architecture, installation and planning of Pro AV/UCC solutions.
  2. Research and analyse the capabilities of current and new hardware and software.
  3. Design Pro AV/UCC solutions from different hardware (and software components) that work together as one integrated system and meet specific customer needs.
  4. Assist in the development of formal sales plans and proposals.
  5. Showing potential customers the Pro AV/UCC solution, understanding the product offering, its potential applications, its benefits and how to use it.
  6. Promote products and Pro AV/UCC solutions to resellers within the Benelux, operating as a specialist.
  7. Assisting in all technical aspects of the sales cycle (pre-sales to post-sales) and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  8. Provide ongoing and sufficient support to the sales team to strengthen channel breadth.

What do you bring?

  1. Minimum three years' experience in a pre-sales, technical-sales, sales-engineer role within the Pro AV/UCC industry (customer, supplier or distributor) or a related field;
  2. Preferably experience with Video solutions (from e.g. Yealink, Poly), Audio (e.g. Bose, Yamaha) or LED (e.g. Unilumin, Leyard, Absen).
  3. Strong analytical skills and able to make data-driven decisions;
    Proactive and results-oriented attitude with a hands-on mentality;
  4. A keen eye for new opportunities and market trends;
  5. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, results-oriented mindset;
  6. Fluent in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing.
